Rome, Italy - Preliminary and executive project for the renovation of an office building (in partnership with C&W) - 2016

The project involved a complete redevelopment of the building both internally and externally, transforming a typical post-World War II building into a contemporary and functional piece of architecture. The adaptation of all the internal installations, carried out with most of the tenants on site, and of all the common areas was followed by the renovation of the façades, working both from a technical aspect, with the application of a coat, and from an architectural one, replacing the ribbon windows with a grid of square windows inserted on a “clean” white plaster façade. The south and west facing façades were protected by brise soleil screens. The articulation of the plan then favoured a pleasant and correct alternation between the façades with and without the screens.

An eye-catching, almost breaking element, a red iron and glass canopy accompanies the path from the external entrance on Via Vittorini to the building and then “climbs” up to the roof. On the top floor, on the short sides, there are two loggias housing tall trees.

To the north, in continuity with the entrance and the common area on the ground floor, a gazebo covered in metal panels has been created, offering the possibility of extending the reception and events of the building’s tenants.
