The villa, named Albouhairah Palace, is a former cottage at the centre of a property in Chens-sur-Léman, overlooking Lake Geneva in a magnificent natural setting.
Our studio is intervening with furnishing and fitting-out proposals on the refurbishment project already being executed by Studio Richard Plottier.
We propose an interior built with the structural materials of the house, wood and natural stone, declined according to a more luxurious and accomplished language.
For the pitched roof, we envisage an interior structure of dark wood hand-decorated with antique motifs and a cladding of polished sandstone slabs for the interior perimeter walls.
The internal plastered subdivisions are planned with freer decorations and constitute, together with the furnishings and finishes, a second level of reading of the composition that combines and enhances the dry and vaguely vernacular language of the pre-existing architecture with the taste for decoration and luxury, an essential starting request of the client.
