Pioltello (MI), Italy - Design of a private house - 2008

In a new building, part of the Malaspina residential complex in Pioltello, we helped a couple manage the layout of their flat while it was being built.
The space was carefully managed together with the clients who wanted to combine an open image with the practicality of all the spaces a home needs in order not to suffer from unresolvable clutter when living it. For this reason, one wall took on the function of a built-in wardrobe, while two walk-in wardrobes and a laundry wardrobe were created. For the back wall of the living room, a painted metal bookcase with open shelves and closed parts in Canaletto walnut mounted in a crosswise direction was designed and built. The apparently free composition makes it possible to conceal a fancoil, to frame the television and its control equipment well, and to contain water reservoir pots with plants. The bookcase backdrop, made of wooden slats, covers the entire wall.
