The new Company Store to be built within the Customer area of the Milan S. headquarters. Felice, dedicated to consumer products, was also meant to be an interface of the Company with external users.
Considering the quantity and diversity of the products that would be exhibited, it was decided to articulate the project on the basis of a regular scheme consisting of a few elements: a perimeter wooden paneling, free-standing transverse elements in the centre and a large longitudinal panel with images of 3M products, as a reference element.
Access from the inside takes place from a glass wall that entirely occupies one of the sides, while the one from the outside through a designed glass entrance placed on the opposite side.
The design of the exhibitors required a typing based on the range of products that they should have welcomed, guaranteeing a certain flexibility conferred by the modular system adopted, which allows displacements and mergers of the support elements of the products themselves. As in all 3M projects, even in this case it was possible to use not only the best known 3M technology, but to develop new applications and use absolutely new products.
