Segrate (MI), Italy - Project and architectural works management for the new entrance hall of the 3M Italia headquarters - 2000

Project and construction of the new entrance hall of the Italian headquarters of the Company. The client’s goal was to create a representative environment, elegant and composed despite the contemporary declination of the architectural language and allow access to two areas of the building with separate controls but a unified reception area.
The project is part of a plan of systematic interventions carried out over the years inside the building and in the external area, with the aim of coordinating the general image and improving the functionality of the spaces.
The intervention covered all phases of the project from the concept, to the executive project, to the definition of construction details and custom-made furnishings.
The reception stations required the integration of the necessary technological equipment within the extremely linear design furniture elements.
By lowering a portion of the available area, which did not have windows, it was possible to obtain an area for the reception of visitors. The whole area, delimited from the front by a portal, was coloured with brick red plastering.
For the main access, a circularĀ glass entrance has been inserted in the existing window of the main front.
