The Herman Miller showroom project at the National Design Center in Milan’s Corso Garibaldi is being realised in the former space of a Banca Commerciale agency.
The transformation of the space responds to the requirements of the client, who asked for a large showroom visible from the outside and usable inside with a great deal of flexibility, and a relatively more intimate area in which to interface with customers or carry out small training sessions. At the back of the space, a mezzanine opening onto the shop is enhanced. On Corso Garibaldi, the shop window is structured to accommodate multi-level furniture and large-format graphics.
