The common objective was to make the new premises homogeneous to the general image of the Company according to the criteria established with the European Headquarters and numerous other offices in Europe built together, or to have office spaces that possessed all the technological, qualitative and architectural standards necessary to characterise the environment and work philosophy.
The offices were built on an area of about 1.200 square meters by renovating and setting up the entire second floor of one of the buildings of the Centro Direzionale Milano 2. The aim of the intervention was to permanently increase the quality of the spaces making them modern, flexible and adaptable in the future to different uses.
From the point of view of the use and perception of the internal space, the offices benefited from 3 particularly favorable situations: the shape of the plant, a regular rectangle almost completely free from structural constraints and with large perimeter ribbon windows; the central position of the service bodies, vertical connections and accesses; receptive management to aspects of organisation, management and quality of spaces.
In this way it was possible to imagine and carry out a reversal of the concept of placing closed offices towards open space. The closed offices were in fact placed close to the central volume ensuring maximum functionality, route optimisation and organisational and technological flexibility.
